EVIL BANISHING BOW

1940s | Môn Quan temple

This special bow was a holy  object in the rituals performed by my grandfather and uncle in the 1940-1975. The term "evil banishing"  clearly explained its purpose. At the beginning of every Lunar new year, my uncle would shoot 3 arrows to 3 different  directions in order to purify the surrounding contaminated energy. For my grandfather's cases, he used it to exorcise demonic spirits from people who are mentally disturbed.
